Old Memories

Rummaging through old memories,
seemed like the thing to do today,
get rid of the dust and webs,
remove some of the clutter

There was hurt in the corner,
and many tears too...
heaps of sorrow,
so much to remove

Such a big job,
where do you start?
by brushing off the love
and the joy

Hearing the laughter,
seeing the smiles,
feeling the warmth
of old memories that have filled a life
