Giving away my walls

How can I preserve
what is not truth...
be persistent
in a world of callousness....
be myself
within confinements?
Deceit is foreign to me,
and I don't think
I'm capable of violence
in behalf of myself.
The facets of my life
have sustained me
up to a point
made me stronger
giving away my walls
causes too much
suffering...
