Lord keep my heart open
let nothing but love live there
don't let any bitterness seep in
and take root inside somewhere
Let me always be proud
of who and what I am
and always strive to live
the best life that I can
It's not money and greed
the needs that one should feel
but a striving for truth and beauty
things that are so real
to fill our storehouses
for when time has past
and all things money can buy are gone
these things still will last.
